Apple Devine, Intern, BA

Currently accepting new clients*

Apple Devine is a third-year Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate student through Seattle University. They hold a B.S. degree in Psychology from Washington State University. They bring 2 years of experience working in acute inpatient mental health and 3 years of experience as a social justice peer educator.

Apple is passionate about supporting older teens and adults navigating disordered eating, trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, identity exploration, and body image concerns. They are especially interested in working with individuals who feel stuck or disconnected from themselves, their identities, or their sense of hope for the future.

As a counselor-in-training, Apple takes an integrative, collaborative, and strengths-based approach, recognizing that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all. Their developing clinical approach draws from person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), feminist theory, and motivational interviewing. They also incorporate a multicultural lens, considering how culture, identity, and relationships, and lived experiences shape each person’s experiences and needs.

Apple hopes to create a warm, nonjudgemental space where clients feel comfortable showing up authentically. They aim to support clients in building insight and coping skills, recognizing their strengths, fostering self-acceptance, and creating a path forward that feels meaningful and authentic.
