Danielle Walker, LMHCA

Currently not accepting new clients.

Danielle is a dedicated mental health counselor with over two years of clinical experience helping adolescents and adults navigate the complexities of mental health, neurodivergence, and trauma. She earned her BA in Psychology from Eastern Washington University in 2022 and graduated in 2024 with her MA in Mental Health Counseling from Palo Alto University, a CACREP-accredited program. Danielle completed her pre-graduate internship at Beautiful Autism under the supervision of Dr. Raman Basanti, where she developed experience in diagnostics, assessment*, and neurodivergent-affirming care. She is currently working toward independent licensure in Washington State.

Danielle works with a diverse range of clients aged 10**and older and specializes in supporting adolescents and adults navigating ADHD, AuDHD (co-occurring ADHD and autism), and trauma. Her clinical interests include traumatic invalidation, chronic experiences of being misunderstood or unsupported, masking, and generational trauma.

Many of Danielle's clients come to therapy after years of feeling different, overwhelmed, or disconnected from their sense of self. She enjoys helping clients better understand their neurodivergent experiences, develop self-compassion, strengthen relationships, and heal from the impact of environments that did not fully recognize or support their needs. Her work often focuses on untangling shame, challenging unhelpful beliefs, and helping clients build lives that align with their values and authentic identities.

Danielle takes a holistic, client-driven approach grounded in person-centered, trauma-informed, and compassion-focused care. She integrates person-centered therapy, compassion-focused therapy (CFT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) to support meaningful and sustainable change. Her therapeutic philosophy centers on creating a safe, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, understood, and supported in exploring their emotions, challenges, and goals. Danielle believes in empowering clients to take an active role in their mental health, fostering resilience, self-awareness, and lasting growth throughout their healing journey.
